Based on public permit records

PermitExplorer profiles are built from public building permit data. Claimed and featured listings help improve business information, but they do not change the underlying public permit record.

Contractor listings and paid placements are not endorsements, guarantees, or licensing verification. Users should verify contractor credentials directly.

What is a claimed listing?

A claimed listing means the contractor has requested a profile review and provided business details for the public profile.

Does featured placement change permit counts?

No. Recorded permit counts stay factual. Featured profiles appear above standard listings in the directory, so directory order is not a ranking by permit count, quality, or licensing status.

Can you merge duplicate contractor names?

Yes. If public records show your business under multiple names, we can review aliases and connect them to the correct contractor profile when appropriate.
